At but half an hour's drive from Como, Bugone Hut lies in spectacular
and panoramic position in an upland plain but one hundred metres
below the top of Mount Bisbino.
It's a private hut joining the Girarifugi, a circuit
of quality for mountain huts. Bugone is also a good Restaurant
belonging to Chiara Signori, who restructured it in 2002 and
now runs these activities with great passion along with her
husband Severino Azzan, a most appreciated chef in the Larian
gastronomy. Then, in the last years, the jumping upwards to
the mountains, where the air is unpolluted and the sky deep
blue: here at Bugone, they can finally enjoy of the limpid landscapes
of Lake Como and its Alps, while having fun with their well
cared cooking, all based on the full respect of the values and
products of the mountains. They love to porpose a real welcome
and pleasant cooking to tourists and visitors during the weekends
or when their guests can take a bit of rest and pause, escaping
from the towns, when the crowdy life downtown becomes too wearing.
In summer the Reastaurant and the Hut are open all the days
from 1st July to 15th September; in the rest of the year are
open on Saturday and Sunday and civil festivity.
The Hut has a ground floor with bar, kitchen and a dinner lounge,
fit also as a privè room and a superior floor with the
bedrooms with 20 bed places and the bathroom. Also on the superior
floor there's the typical large winter room that can host 70
people, furnished with a pleasant fireplace, long tables and
ceiling with wooden beams.
Also meeting for 50 people are available in this big lounge.
When the weather is mild you can eat outside in the rustic terrace.
All around are the mountains
